Your home & small business IT department
I support folks who use Apple hardware. Macs and iOS devices. I support Adobe, Google, Microsoft, and Apple services on Apple devices. I also provide network, printer, and web development support. In addition to troubleshooting my clients’ day-to-day software and hardware issues, I research and facilitate purchases and help manage relationships with technology. That includes network devices and online accounts within their professional and personal lives. I am an experienced troubleshooter within both the print and digital worlds. My consulting role, whether it’s for a department of a large company, a small business owner, or an individual, is to provide comprehensive services resulting in a streamlined, low-stress experience.
I am the oldest of thirteen siblings. I grew up exploring New Jersey and New York City until 1969 I moved to Athens and attended Ohio University. I studied philosophy, political science, interpersonal communications, and intentional community. In September 1975, I moved to Minneapolis, where I studied theology at the University of St. Thomas. I became extensively involved in social service and faith communities. Working with St Joseph’s House, a shelter for women, I was asked to help produce their newsletter. The newsletter evolved into a monthly 24-page newspaper. In 1985, we got one of the first Macintosh computers, and I began my design, publishing, and digital technology career. Like others, we were inventing how to use this new technology to streamline and automate traditional print projects, converting them to what we now recognize as desktop publishing. In 1985 I started the first version of what became Joe’s Tech Support. As technology exploded, separate computers joined networks, then the Internet, and now the individual devices in our homes are joining our networks and connecting to the Internet. I enjoy helping folks manage change and making their technology work for them.
