Note: The Delete key on Mac has a ← arrow and works like Backspace on PC. It's located in the top-right area of the keyboard.
Files remain in Trash until you empty it. To permanently delete, empty the Trash with ⌘ Command + ⇧ Shift + Delete when Trash is selected in the Dock.

📋 5. Accessing the Contextual Menu (Without Right-Click)

OPEN CONTEXTUAL MENU

Method: ⌃ Control + Click

What is the Contextual Menu?
A popup menu that shows actions you can take with the selected file(s). It's the same menu that appears with right-click, but accessible without it!

Finding the Control Key: Look for the key marked "control" in the bottom-left corner of your keyboard (it has the ⌃ symbol).
1 Select a file (or multiple files)
2 Hold down ⌃ Control (bottom-left corner)
3 Click on the selected file(s)
4 Choose from options like: Open, Move to Trash, Get Info, Compress, Share, etc.

OPTIONAL: ENABLE RIGHT-CLICK

If you'd prefer to use right-click instead of Control+Click, here's how to enable it:

🖱️ For a Magic Mouse or Regular Mouse:

1 Open System Settings (Apple menu → System Settings)
2 Click Mouse in the sidebar
3 Turn on "Secondary click"
4 Choose "Click on right side" or "Click with two fingers"

💻 For a Trackpad (MacBook):

1 Open System Settings (Apple menu → System Settings)
2 Click Trackpad in the sidebar
3 Click the "Point & Click" tab
4 Check "Secondary click"
5 Choose either:
"Click with two fingers" (tap with two fingers at once)
"Click in bottom right corner" (press the bottom-right area)
"Click in bottom left corner" (press the bottom-left area)
Once enabled: You can right-click (or two-finger tap) directly on any file to open the contextual menu. This does the same thing as Control+Click but may feel more natural if you're used to it from other computers.
